Downriver's Premiere Holiday Experience!

Come walk with family through a winter wonderland of unique, interactive high-tech light shows, holiday displays and characters throughout the historic Coan Lake area, Heritage Park Petting Farm, and the Taylor Conservatory and Botanical Gardens! This year the Taylor Winterfest is being powered by the same group who brought to life Glenlore Trails, The Haunted Forest, IllumiZoo and more! Some familiar items will return as well, such as a photo opportunity with Santa! This event will benefit the Taylor Goodfellows. Food and refreshments will be available. Special reserved scheduling in small groups and social distancing are planned for the health and safety of all visitors. Please note that masks are required.

NOV 19-22
Travel to the Land of Sweets ruled by the Sugar Plum Fairy and experience the classic story of a girl who falls in love with a magically brought to life nutcracker on Christmas Eve, and forced to wage battle against the Mouse King.

Heart two sizes too small? Join the Grinch as he attempts to ruin Christmas for Cindy Lou Who and the Mayor of Whoville!
DEC 3-6
Give your pet some holiday cheer and take your best friend for a treat filled walk through Heritage Park’s winter wonderland
DEC 10-13
If you’re feeling a chill nipping at your nose, come visit Jack Frost in person along with those who love him most like Santa’s live reindeer. Keep an eye out for some large footprints in the snow, the Abominable Snowman might be sneaking around.

Wander around the North Pole as Santa and his favorite elves work hard to meet their Christmas deadline
DEC 21-22 & 26-27
Join some of your favorite holiday characters for a weekend at the winter carnival featuring stilt walkers, fire tricks, balancing acts and illusion.

Do you want to build a snowman? Visit with Anna, Kristoff, and Elsa for some frozen fun during what may seem a perpetual winter.

Taylor Winterfest

What is Taylor Winterfest?

The Taylor Winterfest is Downriver’s premiere family-friendly Christmas experience, running through Heritage Park winter 2020. Find tickets here.

When is Winterfest open?

Winterfest: The Blizzard of Oz is open every weekend starting November 19th, ending the weekend of January 7th, 2021. View the full schedule here.

What is the ticket price?

Tickets for Winterfest are $25 for Adults(13+), $15 for Youth(4-12), and FREE under 3! City of Taylor residents receive discounted rates of $20 for Adult, and $10 for Youth. Must have a valid form of ID to be checked at the gate to receive this pricing.

Where do I buy tickets?

The only official place to purchase tickets is through universe. You can buy tickets following the link above, or by clicking here. Limited tickets may be available at the door. Beware of tickets being sold by any third party – universe is the only official place to purchase.

Where do I park?

Multiple parking lots are available on site.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds are available up to 24 hours prior to your ticketed time slot. To request a refund please login to universe. Instructions for how to request a refund may be found here.

Can I reschedule or transfer my ticket?

Tickets may be rescheduled up to 24 hours prior to the ticketed event time. To reschedule to another date, please login to universe and request a refund. You will then need to purchase a new ticket for the desired date. To transfer a ticket to another person, you may login to universe and select transfer. Instructions for how to transfer can be found here.

Are there themes for each weekend?

YES! We encourage everyone to look at the schedule found here to see the theme for each weekend. We also encourage everyone to participate by dressing up as your favorite character for each theme!

Will Heritage Park be closed during this event?

Heritage Park will still be open to the public, but portions of it will be closed for the duration of Winterfest. This includes portions Coan Lake, The Heritage Park Petting Farm and the Taylor Conservatory. Any events pre-scheduled at the Heritage Park Wedding Chapel or Taylor Conservatory will still take place as scheduled!

It was seriously one of the coolest experiences ever! Not to mention super cautious with everything going on right now (took your temp. At the entrance and everything) every group was pretty spaced out on the trail and you still had time toe experience everything! We will definitely be going back again!
